Here are some of the restorative dentistry procedures that we perform:
Composite Fillings
If bacteria stays too long in your tooth, they can create a hole in your tooth enamel. If this is left untreated, it will continue to destroy your tooth. This hole formed on a tooth is called a cavity.
To protect your tooth and stop the damage, we will fill it with composite. First, we will remove the decayed part of your tooth. Then the composite material will be used to fill the hole. Composite fillings are durable and can be created to mimic the color of your tooth.
Dental Crowns
When a tooth is broken or decayed, it can lose its size and shape. In some cases, a tooth can lose its color over time. To remedy this, dental crowns are incorporated to help restore the shape of your teeth and smile.
During your visit, we will examine the tooth by taking an X-ray of it and the bones around it. Then we will file the tooth and take an impression of the teeth around it. After this is done, we can fix your crown between the surrounding teeth.
Inlays and Onlays
Inlays and onlays are commonly used in molars and premolars. They are used when a filling cannot rectify the tooth damage, yet the damage is not enough for a dental crown.
The main difference between inlays and onlays is the amount of space they cover in your teeth. Inlays usually fill cavities and the hollow area in the tooth, while onlays fill those spaces in addition to the cusps of the tooth.
Dental Implants
If you have a missing tooth due to injury or extraction, using dental implants is the most appropriate tooth replacement option available. They look and function like natural teeth, and with proper care, they can last for a lifetime.
Dental implants also help to maintain your teeth structure and jawbone density. Another reason they are popular with our patients is due to their success rates of up to 98%.
Dental implants have three parts: the titanium implant, the abutment, and the dental crown. Before the procedure, we will assess your mouth and create a model to fabricate dental crowns that will fit your mouth perfectly. Furthermore, you have the option to replace one or more teeth.
Dentures and Bridges
Dentures are removable prosthetic teeth. They fit into the space left by the missing teeth. You have the option to replace one or more teeth with dentures.
Dental bridges are artificial teeth that obtain support from the surrounding teeth. To replace a missing tooth, a dental bridge contains crowns on either side of the missing tooth. In this technique, we will shape the surrounding teeth so that your dental bridge can fit into them.
