Invisalign®
Invisalign® is a convenient and comfortable option for straightening crowded, gapped, or misaligned teeth. The clear removable aligners can be easily taken out for eating, brushing, and flossing. During your consultation with Dr. Jill Moniz, we will determine if Invisalign® is right for you. A personalized treatment plan will be created using a 3D model of your teeth, allowing you to see the expected results.
Custom-made Invisalign® aligners will be given to you to wear for 22 hours a day, only taking them out for eating and oral care. Every two weeks, you will switch to a new aligner to gradually straighten your teeth.
Patients using Invisalign® often experience less discomfort and mouth sores compared to traditional braces. Additionally, there is a lower risk of plaque buildup as the aligners can be removed for proper brushing and flossing.

Retainers
Orthodontic treatment often includes braces or aligners to fix misalignment and achieve a straight smile and bite. However, braces are just the beginning. The retention phase is essential after braces are removed to maintain results. It's crucial to follow through with retention and attend appointments to ensure the success of treatment. Various types of retainers may be suggested for you.
- Clear Retainers: A removable, transparent plastic tray that fits over your teeth.
- Traditional Retainers: A removable appliance made of acrylic and a wire that sits on the front side of your teeth.
- Bonded Retainer: A thin, fixed wire that is temporarily bonded to the lingual (tongue) side of the anterior teeth.
Please follow our doctor's recommendation for the best retainer option for your orthodontic treatment plan. It is crucial to wear your retainer as directed to keep your teeth in the correct position. When not in use, store your retainer in its case to prevent bacteria growth. Regularly clean your retainer with a wet toothbrush and disinfecting solution to maintain hygiene.
