Dental Implant Placement
If you have had a tooth extracted due to decay or impaction, it is crucial to replace it to maintain the structure and functionality of your teeth. Replacing the tooth can also help restore your healthy, confident smile.
Dental implant placement is one of the top options for tooth replacement, with success rates of up to 98%. Implants look and function like natural teeth and, with proper care, can last a lifetime.
Our skilled dental practitioners in Pennsylvania, including Dr. Jill Moniz, Dr. Lawrence Schiff, and Dr. Reza Hakim Shoushtari, use the latest techniques and technologies in dentistry for dental implant procedures. They provide efficient and stress-free treatment for their patients.

Crown Lengthening
- Correcting gummy smiles
- Exposing the fractured areas of a tooth
- Exposing cavities beneath the gum line
We apologize for the inconvenience, but not all individuals may be eligible for the crown lengthening procedure. During your consultation, we will perform a pre-surgical evaluation which includes examining your teeth, gums, and surrounding structures. We will also determine the amount of tooth exposure required and the new position of your gum line.
The procedure usually takes about an hour and you will be able to return home the same day. After the procedure, we will provide you with instructions to aid in the healing process.

Pocket Reduction
If you have swollen and bleeding gums, it could be caused by plaque buildup between your teeth and gums. If not treated, this can result in an infection that may harm your teeth and surrounding bones.
Our pocket reduction procedure includes opening the pockets, removing the plaque, and reattaching the gums to their original position. In more severe cases, surgery and other regeneration procedures may be required. Please reach out to us to set up an appointment for an evaluation and further details.

Gum Grafting
- Free gingival graft: this type of graft is suitable for those with thin gums. Graft tissue, which may be taken from the roof of your mouth, will be attached to the gum area for more thickness. This will increase your resistance to infection and also prevent further gum recession.
- Connective Tissue graft: when there’s tooth root exposure, connective tissue graft is the best option. The graft will be stitched to the gum tissue around the exposed root.

Bone Grafting
Having a tooth extracted without a replacement can cause jawbone thinning, often due to gum disease. A thin jawbone can hinder the success of dental implant procedures. Bone grafting is essential to enhance bone density and support both teeth and dental implants.
Prior to the procedure, your jaw will be evaluated to determine the most suitable bone grafting options for you. After the procedure, there will be a waiting period of three to six months before dental implants can be inserted. In cases where minor bone grafting is required, it can be performed on the same day as the dental implant procedure.
Dr. Jill Moniz, Dr. Lawrence Schiff, and Dr. Reza Hakim Shoushtari have extensive dental experience and offer exceptional bone grafting techniques and other dental services to their patients.
